Default Image of the Week: Full Boat Poker Run Joy

A good-time classic from last weekend's Rock the Bay, http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...r-run-joy.html.

You're correct, Artie. I'm guessing akaboatman just read it quickly. I reread what I wrote and I think it's pretty clear, but you never know.

You are correct ... and incorrect. The the picture is a 382. I blew up the photo as big as my screen could handle to check it before I posted my story, and the "8" as you and Tim Sharkey correctly have it, looked like a "5." I was wrong.

However, Formula does offer a 35-footer in the FAS3Tech line, dubbed the 353. But don't take my word for it. Check the website, http://www.formulaboats.com/353-fas3tech.

Ah yes, I see, that. Good correction/clarification.

I just didn't want people to think that Formula doesn't offer a "35-footer" (inches rounded off, of course), though I haven't seen a lot of those on the water. In fact, that's why I went back to the website. Based on your comment, I wasn't sure it was still in the line.

All good.

The Phantom as well as an Outerlimits.

The low freeboard on the Phantom worked great for those low water shots looking up . Problem was I left my ear plugs in my other camera bag that I used for the Raceway Park Drag Strip Shoot .

These two Protechnologies engines within 4 feet of my ears was way more than I could handle.

Gotta say though, Tom and Jen helped me get the job done at the start !

That Phantom can really run ! We must have only had 2 or 3 boats in front of us which worked out great . As we backed it down to around 85 or 90 mph I started picking off the boats as they came by ....
