Crazy how fast it went bad, but I have to say wear those lanyards please. This could have been far worse. I think it all had to do with the left handed throttles

Glad everyone is okay.

It almost looks like he came down on top of a wake, and then the boat pivoted.

Kill switches what part of this does everyone not understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life vest not only keep you afloat they have an inch of foam that protects from injury. I would imagine that there injuries would have been a lot less had they been wearing them.

Don't want to come off the wrong way, I am really glad every one is ok sort of anyway, but every one needs to respect the water a little more.

As my Father always told me

" There are old pilots and there are bold pilots....but there are no old bold pilots"

Will make me respect big wakes a little more in the future!

And that was no dingy! Guess even that type of stuff can happen even on bigger boats!

Was he possibly wearing lanyards? I ask because you hear beeping after probably due to motors stalling, or did the spin cause it.

Going frame by frame you can see the pure terror as the events unfold. I always ask my passengers how they feel since I used to be terrified of going fast until I was 18 or so. I've even completely missed 7/8ths of a run due to my friend being scared once. Turned around and went slow back.

I've been in a 32 Sunsation that did pretty much the same thing at LOTO. Driver was unfamiliar with the boat and had it trimmed to high, we hit a cruiser wake that was going the other way. I was sitting in the center of the back seat with both hands on the grab handles of each bolster...saw the cruiser go the other way and yelled to my wife (sitting on my left) to hang on. We went up, tripped the starboard rear of the boat, and basically had almost exactly what happened in that video happen to us. Driver was thrown into the passenger bolster, I wound up on the floor with a deep cut to my eyebrow that resulted in the firs stitches in my life, and the girl next to me broke her tailbone. Since then, I have not really felt comfortable being in a boat with someone else driving.
