Might be the hull's fault, might not. If the boat has-had a tendency or propensity of getting the occupants ejected or injured than maybe, just maybe it is not ALWAYS the driver's fault; based on a particular brand and model which has injured an owner or occupant on more than one occassion. This not not a brand specific slam. Again getting sidetracked from what this thread is all about..

but I did smile when reading your OL-design fault comment, funny.

3 simple rules :

1. Powerboat's are not toys.
2. Being able to buy one doesn't mean you are responsable enough to use it.
3. Being able to buy one doesn't mean you are able to handle it.
Well put!

Agreed don't buy the boat, or is the risk owning such a fast boat worth the reward? Meaning I would risk having a fast boat, and what comes with owning a fast boat, because maybe I have the ability and or luck to control the fast boat. \

You only live once, and I am a risk taker. I would be proud to own a any high-end, very fast boat, and the reward (enjoyment of going fast) of having a fast boat would be worth it to me. Skater, Mystic, MTI, OL, the best of the best, when you're the fastest, accidents can happen.

Accidents can happen on any body of water, anytime, anywhere, and you don't have to be in a fast boat to experience one!!!

Stupidity of the moment can affect any operator of any machine.
It always starts behind your eyes and between your ears when your brain becomes overwhelmed with something. We could all be stand up comedians just reminiscing the dumb $hit we and our friends have done chasing skirt, trophy's, and recognition with the stupid actions we've performed during the chase to the crowd.

I look forward to the first bash from a member who says they've never had a brainfart moment.
I've had more than I'd care to remember, most were single operator accidents motorcycle racing and trail riding.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

See ya,
Kelly

The driver made a bad judgement call and has had the tar beat out of him.
