I need Stainless hoses for my K-Planes a.s.a.p.
I know Ive read posts about this before and even replied to theese posts. But when I pulled my boat out of the water this weekend the fittings on my new hoses were caked w/rust.
The fuc#in a$$hole at the hydraulic shop told me that he made the hoses out of all stainless material. So now I need a pair of ALL STAINLESS hoses that run from the outside of the transom to the cylinders (about 9 inches) as soon as I can get them. Can anybody tell me the best and quickest place to get a pair?
Man this gives me a bad case of the red a$$ I spent about 600 bucks for various other "stainless hoses" from the same place. I wonder how long it will be before the rest of the rust

I just went through the same thing this weekend. Found a boat salvage yard at LOTO and in 30 minutes and 20 bucks later had 4 trim hoses. I had my choice of about 30 drives that still had the hoses attached. Needed 3/8 wrench and a pair of gloves to knock down the weeds. Owner said to watch out for snakes.
Good luck.
Good luck.

There were a few Bennet tabs, but no K-planes. Most of the boats are vintage 70's and 80's runabouts (16-22 feet) with a few small cruiser tossed in. Did not see any snakes, but my dad spooked up an 8 point buck laying in the shade of big old IMP. He stopped looking with me after that and went back to the air conditioned office.

Check out your local NAPA Auto Parts store. They sell them. Ask them for the Marine Catalogue
