You just can't surface a single like that. It's going to be trying so hard to walk sideways the entire time. A beefy dual prop outdrive will be the salvation of fast singles.

Another possibly more feasible I had the other day. Just run two bravos on a single engine via a gear box.

Cheap drives and having two may give them a chance to stand up to a high power single engine.

Thanks.

just a few more..

Was it a bravo prior? if so what was prop shaft depth then?

Did you get to do an A-B speed and handling comparison with the same power, or did you change the drive and engine at the same time?

Sounds like its working for you which is great.
I'll be watching to see this evolves, lots of guys with that changed to the SCX have lost some speed, but its been fairly rare to see SX4's on small v's.

Doesn't sound like a true back to back is possible with so many changes but the fact that you seem to be going faster with near level HP is always good.

Thanks.

I believe mine was one of the first single V hulls to use the SCX4 gear case,IMCO added a torque tab to the skeg for me to prevent blow out that I was experiencing at high speed,it has been all good since then.Love the set up.

His is high enough that it won't create lift like a setup where the entire bullet isn't above the hull bottom. That huge skeg must help too.
