Originally we decided to make carbon fiber panels to fill each side of the bilge floor. After some template making and actually seeing the size of the panel we opted to make 'faux' carbon fiber panels for 1 reason. In the event the panels need to be removed or install after the engine is in there would be space constraints and the finished carbon fiber is not flexible. We choose to use 3/16" lexan as a base, and final wrapped in a 3M Dry Carbon Fiber. The lexan is extremely durable, flexible, very easy to work with. Also all engine parts are undergoing a makeover in Silver to complete the finished look of the bilge. The parts are currently primed and drying, should have some paint on them this weekend.

That's what I'd heard, but a rough day on my usual lake is 12" chop. I think it will be ok with that.

If I get the hull number, could you tell me what number of the production run I own?

Thanks, Cole

Yep! I had 2 1985 SVO Mustangs back in the day. Turned up the boost and new exhaust and I would spank 5.0's with my little 2.3's

bought one new. One of the most fun cars I've ever driven. Too bad we weren't into road racing in that era. Mercury Merkur had the same motor and so did the T-Bird for a while but in the states if it ain't a V-8.............

I've been kinda jones'n for a car project lately. Did the muscle car thing and want something different to hot rod. Was looking/thinking MG/Triumph then Miata's then/now been thinking Pinto's
Always liked them and figure a 2200ish lb car w/a 2.3 turbo at 300 HP's...., should be fun and scare plenty of ricer/squids.
Was just thumbing through a Hot Rod mag and they had a picture of one from the day ('79) that was running into the 10's on boost
Girl friend of day had one w/a 4 speed and was an absolute blast to slide around corners in. A friend had one w/a stock motor but chassis set up and you couldn't stay with him in the twisties.
Cheap, easy to work on......

Sorry for the thread hi-jack.

We are moving forward with the painted engine parts and should be installing on the finished longblock next week. The project is coming together fast, the warm weather needs to catch up!

Wow I bet that thing is going to look awesome sitting in the water. Can't wait for those pics. This would be an incredible boat for someone on a smaller lake.
