Default Fountain question

I have an 88 29ft Spitfire. The boat had new carpet installed in the cabin before I purchased it. Question is; Was there an anchor locker beneath the bed from factory that might have been covered up with new carpet??? I don't want to cut carpet only to find no access. Any help or knowledge would be awesome. Hate not having a secure place for anchor and rope.

Thanks for the info. That really sucks being that my back seat is filled with amps, sub, and Acc batteries.

Just thinkng there is plenty of unused space under the bed that could be used, once opened up. The SAWZALL might be a little extreme

But then storing an anchor and rope under the bed would seem really inconvenient
