Most of the people I have dealt with up here that do that crap are 1. Too drunk to be driving 2. Too stupid to be driving 3. Too arrogant to care about their driving. For the most part I just slow down, adjust my course & get the he!! away from them. My passengers & family mean more to me than *****ing out some idiot who won't listen anyway. Randy

Insurance rates ARE high for performance boats. Insurance companies DO pay out a lot in claims. Yes, some people have had poor experiences with insurance claims, but for the most part claims are usually paid. In this instance, just imagine if the boat actually hit those people on the Pontoon boat... It's not uncommon to see that many people on a boat. How many injuries would there be? To what degree? Any chance attorneys would get involved?? Let's just say a modest $100,000 gets paid out for injuries & damage to the pontoon boat. How many boat insurance premiums does this add up too? Example 100 boats x $1000 premium = $100,000 claim, OR; 20 boats x $5000 premium = $100,000 claim. This doesn't even consider the insurance carriers overhead!
Okay, I'm off the horse now....
Pat, thank you for adding this to OSO - Caught on tape.

I can tell you this...... If I were driving (or on) the pontoon or any other boat for that matter, with my wife, daughter, friends and/or other family members, I would find the driver/operator of the cat (one way or another) and give him a good shot to the throat! Don't care how big of a guy he may be...... I just have no tolerance for stuff like this, especially if it puts my wife and/or daughter in danger.

One of the biggest reasons I miss my jet boat! The good ole rooster tail to fill his boat with 100's of gallons of water!

That's a little scary. I had a buddy who drove close to people like that. 1 ride was enough for me and thank god, he doesn't have a boat anymore. Wow, the current rips too!
