I vote, not a lemon, part of being a boater, when I pull away from the house for a day of fun it is about $150 on fuel and food etc.
The impellors, belts and STUFF, and very often fluid changes add up....
Last year we blew 3 drives and other stuff....
This year so far so good.
The B. O. A. T. comment is SOOOO true....
We should post a thread for WHO HAS BEEN TOWED IN THIS YEAR.
It would be like putting a hot chick pic up replies wise...
Good luck to you, your in the club.
Keep us posted, LOTS of FREE GREAT ADVICE here on OSO.

Welcome Indy - Doesn't sound like a lemon to me. Just a B-O-A-T!
Bryan - I, for one, haven't been towed in yet this year. But of course I do have two motors and several times I've idled back in on one motor.
So see, for the mere price of a second motor, drive, rigging, fuel, maintenance, etc. you can almost, I say almost, forget about the tow rope!!!!

The boat hasn't been towed ( I also have two motors -- but havn't had any problems--Knocking on wood) But my truck has.
Just got it back togeather last saturday and BOY does it run great. Noticable increase in HP.

Ouch, Matty!!!!!!! Thanks for the visual. It does seem more appropriate, if I have to go to the wrench's place and get out with only a thousand, I think I've gotten away unscathed.

Well I'll tell you guys one thing, you sure know how to make a fella feel better. Telling boating stories does it everytime. I did learn one thing. Make sure you have a good, Long Towrope. I can't imagine having 2 engines, twice the problems, But TWICE the HP. I guess there is always someone to put things in perspective. Was talking to my buddies dad. He had a 46ft Sea Ray on Lake Erie, hit a reef of some sort. Sunk the boat in about 45 min. They had to be air lifted out. Thats putting this in perspective. Thank God for Insurance, now they've got a 50fter. Its a beaty, but Slow. Thanks Guys
