Gino.... Sympathies man. That is one rough go of things. Someone mentioned some greased palms, sounds right from here. Might be cheaper than a 55k dock redo...

Wow man, that is a great story. I seem to have the same luck, but on a much smaller scale(900$ instead of 9000$, 5500$ instead of 55k.) Good luck with the rest of your projects, sounds like you should cut your loses and move!

I would check and see if a permit was really not pulled. I have a friend that had a building the county said was never permitted. He told the inspector he did have it permitted and inspected. County was giving him hell. He ended going back thru old files and found the permit and the green tags. He then sent them to the county. There response was, "You did that before we had everything on computer"
