A quick reminder from a MOD-
While emotions have been running high lately the MODS have all been doing their best to promote a dialog, but also keep the talks civil and respectful.
Sometimes it's a no win situation. We don't get paid anything (Okay, a $10 Amazon GC for Xmas) so we do it "For love of the Sport" as the header used to say.
Remember, while there may be ONE important subject in discussion in your eyes, we may be watching many, many others at the same time. We can't please everyone.
Every reported post, complaint or idea gets reviewed and discussed. Most times majority rules on a MOD vote.
For every one of you that thinks your contact with us should be on top of the list, there are ten others in the inbox.
Remember, we are all brothers and sisters. A Family. Families can fight each other, but I always fight the world my family. No matter our differing views.
For a lighthearted look at our day, watch the video below. I made it a few years ago but it still rings true.

I don't envy your or the other mods jobs Gregg and appreciate your time and efforts. I know you all do the best you can and sometimes are walking on a tightrope. You do have my support and thanks for the laugh in the video. Keep your sense of humour up !!

I've always been curious about how moderators of a forum work. How many are there? Are you guys just doing it randomly in free time similar to most of us surfing the forums (I guess I should get back to work since this isn't my free time lol) only you guys are making sure everything is running smoothly and content is appropriate in addition to enjoying the topic of conversation? Sorry to go off topic, but I've always been curious about this. Thanks for everything!

It's all in our free time.
I work for myself so I am on more than most. But we all get messaged on every complaint or issue and we all scramble to a computer to see if/how we can help.
My posts-per-year actually dropped significantly after I became a MOD as I tried to walk the impartial line. A quick review of my old posts will definitely show a much more vocal and opinionated member.

You guys do a great job. I imagine its difficult to watch what EVERYONE says and then have to decide if it crosses a line it shouldn't cross, and then have to decide what to do about it. You're much more diplomatic than I would be.
Just be careful because remember, you've been put "on notice"..........................

Great post Greg!
Remember......... "Not Working While At Work Is Like Stealing From The Company"
In this case it sounds as if you've been stealing from yourself!
Thanks for volunteering your time, keeping us straight & providing us w/ a platform to talk boating!
