Pantera 280 what year is it?
Hi, need some help here. just bought this Pantera 28 but have no idea what year it is. Do they all look the same or can anyone identify the year (approx.) by the lines etc etc?
It has 2 MAG 350 with Alpha drives on it but these will go out. Now I plan on putting two new 377 Scorpion Mercruisers in with Bravo 1 drives as I do not want any high performance engine that is heavy on maintenance. That being said, I would consider a 525 if this would improve the jumps???? The two 377 Mercruisers might be to heavy in the back to make it land nice and flat compared to the 525? I do like the idea of 700+ HP split on two fairly simple engines though. Am I too optimistic if I hope to pass 70 miles with the two engine set up?

that boat should run 70 no problem with twin small blocks...
you can build 383 small block chevys very inexpensively, just use your 350 engines, buy a pair of skat cast cranks and pistons from summit racing, arp studs for the main caps, arp rod bolts, some ss valves, inconel valves for the exhaust, have the rotating assemblies balanced, and a pair of roller cams....

I don't think you will hit 70 with those small blocks more like 60 to 65.
