Cig tg 38 vs Fountain lightning 35/38

If I were to switch to a V hull I would seriously consider a PP (although I am an OL cheerleader).
Pads are for vaginas...that outa liven things up here
But what the hell am I talking about, I am a cat guy anyway...

Now that I'm boatless again, I have $20 grand burning a hole in my cookie jar.
I'm thinking Powerball tickets are the better investment.

Jeeeeeezuz you guys are all over the place.
Pros and cons of both:
Cigarette pros (twin step) -
"Is that one of those Cigarette boats?" Yes, it is - brand recognition.
Good ride, comfy cockpit, well built, solid boat.
Cigarette cons -
Not much cabin, will be slower than the Fountain lb to lb....That's about it that I can think of.
Fountain pros -
Faster than pretty much anything out there apples to apples.
Better cabin with amenitites
Fountain Cons -
Narrow cockpit and cabin
Very low freeboard
Light layup = fast but also takes away from rough water handling in my experience (they ride a bit rigid)
And of course the fact you lose length with the swim step and the beak.
Whoever said a 42 fountin is a better comparision to a 38 Gun was absolutely correct.
There's great deals on both early 2000's guns and fountains. Get a package with 525 Mercs with lower hours and you'll have a turn key, kick azz, fun boat whichever way you go.
I like the idea of just keeping the Eliminator. But if you're wife is like mine, you probably never boat with out her so buying a cruiser and keeping the Eliminator would pretty much be pointless.
I like the idea of buying an OL that is kind've best of both worlds but the price point is going to be more for an equal OL than the Fountain or Cig.
Good luck with whatever you decide either way.

37 Active Thunder has the nicest cabin out of all the boats discussed, is fast as a TG and will give the same ride as a Cig in the rough. But, you don't get to tell people you have a Cigarette.

The Cig appears to be comfortable in most all water. The Fountain seems ok, especially if you want skanks up in the cabin, and an enclosed head.

Skanks win...
What was the boat used in the the movie
"Step brothers"
They used it to make a video
You know.... "*****es & Hoes"
Get that boat... Problem solved
