Truth is they're both great boats, it's just not a fair comparison. Mustangs (I own one) and Camaro's are cool cars but don't compare them to Ferrari or Porsche.

so you are saying Cigs are Camaros? because we all know Ferrari and Porsche are a step above....

But I understand where you are coming from,,,you have to be a Cig cheer leader,,you own a Cig ,,,

Beacuse the z28 is faster? http://www.autoweek.com/article/2013...NEWS/131019880 7minutes 37.4 seconds at the 'ring

"Chevrolet is quick to point out that the Z/28's time is a bit better than the 991 Porsche 911 Carrera S and a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, and we can add the Lexus LFA and Ford GT to the list of cars the Camaro bests."

I would agree about not comparing the Mustang though

So you're saying you'd take the Camaro over the Carrera S and Lamborghini Murcielago LP640?

Know response needed we know the answer.

This thread might have been a lot different if the question was which boat is faster. BTW - I'd go with Fountain on that one. Again, I like Fountain, wish they would start building again. Good looking, fun and fast boats. Also think the go-fast industry needs Fountain back in the game.

Funny you should ask. I have parted 2 fountains no cigs. But it wouldn't stop me
From parting out my 03 top gun . I'm not prone to any boat there all good as far as I'm concerned

All the bashing is amusing but, we are comparing apples to Bulldozers. Fountains are production boats and Cig's are custom boats. While Fountains are faster (weight to horsepower ratio) Cig's are some serious wave crushers with their hull design. I know.... I've heard it all before. Fountains length is exaggerated because of the beak. Has anyone ever seen how much of any boat is touching the water at more than 70mph??? it aint much. The weight to horsepower ratio is more realistic. For the last 12 years I've sat on my toilet reading Powerboat Magazine, I've got most of the memorized. The fact is none of them are really any better or worse, it's more about what you want in a boat...... Now, lets start the O.L bashing:

Cigs are no different then any other hi end boat builder..all the 39s come out the same molds..then you add your bling and paint to make it different then the previous 39 that was built..so its a semi custom built..no different than sunsation..fountain..donzi..

Cigs for sure have way better build quality at least compared to the last new Fountain I saw in Miami in 2011 the red 42 had horrible paint and detail work, I was very surprised the amount of orange peel alone...
