You're right, it might be a lot less than what Phil charges, but it looks like it too. Don't get me wrong, great looking boat, they did a nice job, but you're comparing apples to oranges. If you look at the one Phil did a few years ago for the Miami show, there's more thought, effort and detail just in the dash on his boat than in this entire boat. Like I said, it's nice, not trying to slam Pier 57, but there's no comparison between their work and Phil's.

Phil is a detail man for sure but when it is 20 ft long and costs more than a Top Gun something is wrong!

Just the engine, drive and rigging packages can make a 200K+ difference.....have you guys priced any of these items lately? I had a customer put 150K into a 22 Donzi a few years ago. I currently have a 20 Cig in the shop that another shop clipped the owner for over 80K and its only a hull that has not seen the water and needs to be redone from scratch. So for Pier 57 to be able to take this boat where they did and sell it for under 40K, that is a job well done in my book.

Thank you for all your input and comments. I am sure most of you will feel this is a very nice restoration when you see completed pictures today. We kept a budget in mind when restoring this boat to keep affordable for the Cigarette enthusiast. Although I did not want to put out there the reason in part for doing the project the way we did. I will since some feel we may have not done to their standards or other. We bought this boat from a gentleman that was going through Prostate Cancer and surgery and we wanted to keep the boat as close to his dream for what it would be. The dash was not torn apart and re-configured for this reason and the TRS was kept on for same reason. The TRS actually shifts very smooth and with this HP should have no issues. Like any restoration, you can go as far as you want with it or the checkbook allows. This boat is beautiful and we feel confident you will be happy with rigging and finished project.
We are on to a 24 twin engine Cigarette restoration and a Allison restoration now. We will start threads of these resto's once we get started.
Have a great weekend.
