Have some updates. The dyno showed that my 2007 710's were down on power so they were shipped back to Ilmor this summer for a complete rebuild. Jerry Haney got them back in the boat and we did some prop testing on Friday at the Fountain factory. Big thanks to Fountain for letting us use the facilities. We still have some dialing in to do finding the right props but I think the Ilmors and Arneson drives are going to make a great combo. We hit 103 with a set of 33 pitch 18 dia 20 degree rake Herrings but ran out of prop. We still have to dialing in to do but it's going in the right direction. A big thanks to Cobra Power and Randy for sticking with me during this prop testing process. Cobra has been great to deal with in letting me test so many different set of props throughout this process.

The pictures don't do the boat justice - especially with those Arnesons hanging off the back. Jerry had Mike Riggs paint the rear rub rail to match the paint job and it turned out great. Here are some pics.

It looks fantastic! What material was the rub-rail made out of?

The sides are chrome and the rear is a plastic composite.

Not sure when you started this project but the attention to detail looks outstanding. Congrats on the finished project & having the vision to see it thru. I'm a big time ILMOR fan.

Thanks. I picked up my Ilmors used in 2010 and ran them in my Fountain before I sold it. They had some hours on them were down on power a bit. Somewhere along the line they had some water reversion that caused some internal issues. They should be good to go for a long time now. They sure sounded good Friday
