BS plain and simple. Everyone who as ever raced anything knows what can and does sometime happen. These two guys chose to get in the boat TOGETHER. and run THEIR equipment. Even if SBI's rules were broken they were the ones that broke them.

it's becoming more and more a part of the american culture: "it's always someone else's fault"

matt,it might be wise to ask the mods to delete this thread before it turns into a pizzing match like the one almost 2 years ago.it,s kind of like politics, neither side right or wrong.just my humble opinion.

Mike,

I understand your point of view. Here's where I stand. I report news. Sometimes the news is good and sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's light and other times it's heavy.

Moderators do what they do at their discretion. I don't make suggestions to them one way or another.

Beyond that, I have no comment.

Just another thing to think about I guess, and pure speculation: If these guys strapped in to race and ran hard, hard enough that they flipped their boat, maybe they were running hard because they thought that a safety crew was close to them, maybe they thought that the helicopter was always going to be with in seconds of them. As I recall it was a while before a diver hit the water from the video? Yes guys race all the time knowing that they could pay the ultimate price. I can however also see how if a body like NASCAR or SBI did not have the safely in place that they said they would law suits would be in order. After Dale Earnhardt's accident there were a number of changes that were put into place, does anyone know if SBI made any changes?

Explain what changes were made to make it safer. The cars go faster. DE death was freak.

If SBI had to do that where is the cash going to come from? Certainly not SBI since the investment is not worth the return.
