Hi guys, the scorpion that bull is talking about is different from the chris craft it is not a "signature". Definitly classic lines. Built in south florida. I have heard it was an aronow design hull but could not verify the truth of that.

I raced the Old HB Boat!
I raced Hurley Stepp's old HB Scorpion with BruceK from the board. He owned it and throttled it I drove. What a great rough water boat! Too bad Bruce sold it. FUN RIDE!

Bull,
Steve is right on. The chris craft scorpion was 31', the Scorpion was built in Miami by Julio Deverona. Company went defunct and the molds resurfaced under a few different titles.
I saw the mold on the side of his house in the early 90's and entertained the purchase, but they were in rough shape. I think the boat was actually a 32'. Good ride, and solid construction for the day. Fit and finish were never there ! Have it surveyed ! and check the serial # on the transom the first letters denote the manufacturer name and can be confirmed through the coast guard as they issue them.
