Default NXT Transmission Blown Apart

We blew apart the end cap casting on one of our NXT Transmissions on the Donzi this past Saturday. Not sure exactly what happened at this point. Saw a crab buoy and possibly hit it but throttled back immediately (was planning out at the time we saw it going about 30mph). One thing that was done recently which I'm questioning was that Doug Valentine removed the shift anticipators from all 3 motors. He claims that Mercury Racing advised him to do this but when shifting out of gear it would feel like a grinding in the shifter. My question is; would it make sense/ be possible to swap all 3 out to number 6 transmissions? If so, what is the cost on them? I know Bam has the cyborg transmissions but what other options do we have? And what's everyone's thoughts on not having the shift anticipators? Trying to get this running again by New Years for an event if possible.

I'd suggest talking to someone like TNT about this...
FWIW, when I worked at Cig, we built a good number of boats with NXTs, and I don't recall any of them having trouble.. Two of the boats that I personally used for over 100 hours of Poker runs didn't have trouble.....
I know some early OLs had trouble, but I believe that was because the X dimension was extremely high..

I have a completely redone NXT transmission for sale, with zero hours, in the OSO classifieds. I'm open to a reasonable offer. It is ready to ship. Call me and lets talk.

How many hours on the drivelines? "You can't expect them to last forever." (some favorite words from my Father)

The NXT "transmission" issues in multiple brands of boats that we've seen are directly attributable to inexperienced operators shifting at too high of RPMs.
