Had a DCB, currently own a Skater but am building a new 48 MTI.
Fit and finish is debatable, depending on who does the paint. In the rigging and bling department, MTI and DCB would be hard to beat. I personally like the lines of both the MTI and Skater. DCB was a very forgiving, easy boat to drive, though not overly fast for the power. Opposite is true for Skater, for me. Can't wait to spend some quality time in the MTI, should be a beast.

I think Bill Pyburn said it best on the video on Powerboat Nation- and he's owned his fair share- he said the 388 Skater is probably the best POUND FOR POUND cat out there!! I'd have to believe him

I'd like boat below with twin 300XS and custom color-to-match alum trailer.

Since most of us on here are dreaming- lets have some fun and say what boat we would buy and what power as well and why? As well as talking about the best Cat, not all have 1st hand experience! This is the fun of this website
So I guess if you own one- tell us your experience
If you don't- tell us what you like and would build
I'll start-
388 with some Carson Brummett dual stage motors. One setting on pump 91 and one on E85 type fuel. Tilt trailer of course to be pulled by a Sport Chassis!! Lol
