I think 36s are hard to buy. They seem to be priced very high compared to 40s and 32s. I guess that's the model everyone wants.
My cousin just went through this search and realized that he could get a nice 40 for the same price as an overpriced 36. The power packages seem to be all over the place in the 36s as well. Almost every 40 classic has what I have, 1100s.
The perfect boat would be a 36 Skater or MTI with Merc 700s but that hasn't caught on yet enough to find a used one.
Now that we have that out of the way……buy my 40 and I'll help ol Tim G. out and buy is 2012 40'..

The 36 skater is strait up an all around great boat, for its size it can take on some pretty nasty water and keep up with the best of them , its easy to tow, and with mild power it's still an ego killer and is just a blast to wheel.
With that being said its no surprise they are holding their value. I'm ok with it! Ha
