Thumbs up Test and Tune on the San Jacinto River, Houston, Saturday the 18th

Just a heads up for the local guys, we expect a bunch of outboards, jets and a few v-drives for a serious test and tune session over a 660' course (this is not a poker run or even a race). We have some people that towed their boats from Minesota this year to join the fun.

You can get to us from Galveston Bay by boat or by road at the end of Highland Shores Road (2730 Highland Shores Rd, Highlands, Tx 77562)

Website of the property is here http://cycoast.com/event/2014-winter...al-boat-rally/

People will be testing their setups Friday and the fun starts at noon on Saturday

We had a crowd yesterday and five hours of grudge match (side by testing and tuning)

Even managed to get the CG and Sherrif's Dept to line up (win for the Sherrif )

Gone again managed an unbelievable 166 in very cramped conditions.

more good pics here, http://hurlbutfamilyphotos.smugmug.c...9952&k=5x9DTXx vids to follow

It was a nitrous pop, probably blew the head off, then the nitrous and gas blow torched everything, CG snatched the driver off after his on board extinguisher failed to touch it.

We also had a big HP v-drive bust a driveshaft after he hopped out of the water, luckily all the parts went up and into the water, boat was saved.

Only two incidents all day, everyone went home safe. Thank God

We had a great time spectating, it was a strong showing of boats and spectators. Enjoyed the jets and the v-drives quite a bit.
