Yes, they have 15 new engine offerings in the last two years. Its time for a Bravo replacement. They need something between the XR and NXT that doesnt require a tranny. Would probably be popular!

My vote the "Bravo XRT" with 5 inch gears. God forbid you make it bolt to a standard helmet and gimble - oh my! Oh lordy help us!

So close yet so far away!

Yeah, what if you could shave 200lbs or more each, have same reliability and better efficiency (every see Ford's heads)? The 1350 merc lost those goofy pushrods. Just not sure if most drives would like the 7K rpm range.

I am not sure I get having 4 engines within 45hp of each other.

To me, 50hp jumps would make sense. 500, 550, 600, 650, 700, ..... oh wait there is nothing between here, 1100, 1350, 1650.

How about an 850 & 950?

Here it is. More than 200 pounds lighter and available off-the-shelf right now. 30 horsepower more than the 540 as well. The higher RPM range (6000) lessens the torque load on those Bravos.

This also addresses Knot 4 Me's thirst for LS-based power.

Because the cast block is stronger and more suited for extreme use.

I absolutely agree!
