I really don't mind being his throttleman but I rather let him make his decision. He is the man of his team. He knows best and what is best for his team. I can see in his eyes...Trust me, he knows best.

Actually it takes everybody . . .

set up . . . critical, wrong prop or whatever and your done before you even line up with the start boat

Engine builder . . . critical, 7500 rpm for a half hour or so straight. Definitely not an off the shelf build

T man . . . .critical . . . gotta be able to keep these motors alive and singing. Prioritize gauges and read water

Driver . . . critical . . . . have to be able to finesse these things around a course. The 750s scrub speed like crazy in a turn, they lack torque like the 850s so you really need to be in tune with the T guy and be able to keep 'er moving. Find good fast water and good fast lines.

Thats why SC is such a great class, you need the best of everything and everyone because, in theory, the margins are very close.

I rig my own hulls , build my own engines and trannies
I set up my own hull which runs a lot lot faster then when it was raced under JD or
Don Q . I started with V bottom drag boats and never looked back.
I also converted the 40 I'm running now.
I drive and throttle. Have balls big as a bull and nerves of steal "
Safety always comes first !!! On and off the water !
30+ yrs of running triple digits is my calling !!

Skater40,

Bob Teaque will throttle his own Skater for OPA SuperCat so he has his hands full for the season. Just FYI!
