***Disclaimer first: I do not own either of the following boats!!***

I was at the Miami show and saw lots of pretty cool looking toons there. And the thought crossed my mind, if you can buy a toon with twin 300's on it that would run say, 80 MPH (I think Playcraft has one, not sure), then you could load 17 of your drunken friends on it, hire a captain, buy gas, beer, full bar, catered food, and strippers for everyone for an ENTIRE YEAR and still spend less money a new Center console with triple 300's, and probably outrun him
Who's the smarter one now?

109mph...WOW...Awesme...LOL A few companies like Premier will build these Triple Toons w twin 300's. They are a 10' wide beam and go around 70+...Actually, very nice riding for what it is. I was impressed. http://www.pontoons.com/

I build fishing catamaran CC's and we are now looking at building a 30-33x10'8" with 300's that tops my goal of 90mph..shock mitigating seats, live wells, 560 gallons of fuel..etc....and still be a real offshore fishing/cruising machine..not a go-fast cat with a different deck. These pontoons are very similar, they ride great, somewhat of a cat ride packing air and are decent offshore with a triple toon package and can carry many people comfortably. It's nothing you'd want to take on a FPC run but there are many I have tested and go out 24 miles to the islands here in MS in some 2-3's and have never felt unsafe.

Most of them look like this one though. A bunch of old folks idling around in full street clothes and boy do they hate my Donzi out there. I'll take sail boats and jet skis over these POS lake cloggers. Yeah, they need pads and plugs because they are for puzzies.

I would never own a toon because I have no friends to haul around.
