Great run. huge respect to the pilots with the balls to push that hard in a V.

The Big Question is...What would the Fountain Cat Killer have run if it had the upgraded high boost 1650/1850 engines OL did?

Are you saying you think the 1650's were making 1850? the 1650 is basically a boosted 1350. So you are saying you can boost a 1350 all the way up to a 1850?

We should ask people with lots for dyno time with forced induction motors, can you just keep adding boost and make infinitely more power?

and for the record I am pretty sure the Fountain record run was with more than 1650HP so your question has been answered.

Give OL credit where credit is due. They specifically used the Merc motors so it was a measurable engine package. Anyone can write a check and buy the same merc 1650 motors to challenge the new OL record. I would venture to say that will never happen since the chances of another hull with the same motors beating the OL is unlikely. If the record is broken again it will be with larger 2000+HP custom motors that nobody will really knows what they make.

Fact- Outerlimits has the fastest recorded V- bottom in the world.

I agree with what your saying but the 1650 is not just a 1350 turned up on race gas.It is different and they do make 1800 hp.
