Do low water Bravo pick ups cost you speed?

i've been told that they do cost you some speed...about 1mph or less.
Ask the F1 or F2 guys.....that's where i got my info from
P.S. i was also told that different gear lubes will vary mph...but that was by .4 mph.

I should have been more specific. Below 75-80 mph do they cost speed? My 29 Outlaw runs the same 72-74 mph as others with the same power. I have low water. Are there any advantages to low water pu's? I know it's easier to injest things.
