Sorry about your collision. Next time grab the dock line he's holding and pull. I love helping out any fellow boater coming into dock. I always let the captain control everything even if I'm holding a dock line. A lot of it is common sense though. My favorite past time would be to help the dock boys at The Casino. They were great. You need to get out but your up front with two rows of boats behind you. Done.

On my second trip ever with the Ol I was at a fuel dock fueling up when a fellow boater came up.....he was very enthusiastic and had a ton of questions as it was the first Outerlimts he had seen in person....when we got ready to leave he wanted to help with the lines so he started untying a spring line that was attached to the boat by a pin cleat.....he unties the the line from the dock and then for whatever reason he unhooks the pin cleat from the boat....so now the boat is being pulled away from the dock by the current and the guy still has the line......he decides to throw the line (pin cleat and all) to the boat....it goes over everyones head, lands on the engine hatch which is painted......somehow the pin cleat managed to chip the paint in four different spots. and these are like 1/2" chips in three different colors,
Thanks a lot Buddy
