Ahh, that's right. I remembered him saying something about drive, gimbal, and possible transom damage. Now that you say that Mike, I remember it was from the boat coming forward and the drives hitting the trailer.

The misfortune that befell the OP is the reason that I bought a Myco with a welded drive guard to protect my new ASD7's.

I can relate to your story. We got into some rough water on Lake Erie on the monday after the poker run. Don't know what the wind speeds were or what the wave heights were but we were in my 36 Outlaw and it was a rough ride. Was able to smooth it out around 30mph by running on top with some trim on the tabs and drives but kept the bow up so as not to stuff it. We did stuff the bow a couple of times before getting up on plane. It was a lifejacket on ride for sure.

As for the boat, try and get two opinions if possible. Even if the insurance company pays for one estimate, it might be worth finding another shop even if you have to pay for the survey or estimate. Always better to be certain everything is caught the first time around.
