So horrible, RIP buddy, just saw Mike last weekend out here in Cali for our big PR. He was such a NICE man, talked to him here and there, and was never to good to talk to little ole me or anyone. Didn't know him well, but I'm truly sad, you will be missed Mike.

Wow. So sad, rip and prayers to all touched by this tragedy.

We are losing far too many highly talented and well respected members of this sport in the past few years.

Just horrible!! I just met him 2 weeks ago, he took the time to chat with me for a 1/2 hour. Amazing what he accomplished at such a young age. I understand that he is close with this site, by why lock all the threads? He is family here as well. He has touched many lives in this sport, let the people speak and pay their respects to the current leader in this industry. Many will not be able to attend his services, this is their only outlet to say their peace.

God speed Mike! You broke records both in business and on the water. You overcame the economy with innovation. Set a new standard in quality, looks, and marketing. The lines you drew in this declare of power boating will be immitated but neve duplicated. Thanks for setting a new standard on all fronts! Your legacy will live on

This was given to me on a note from a fellow racer when my dad was killed after his hydroplane crash, " Only because we dare to be different, reach out and extend ourselves to the limit, do we seperate ourselves from the norm!"*

R.I.P Mike. My condolences to the family.
