Sorry to have hijacked this thread, I will start another next week with some more ideas.....ideas we have, that means nothing is finalized.
So to exit here......the Cigarette 50 is a great boat that is more than capable of running safely in big ocean water. My only regret is that the video does not show that. However, as a quick transition to our new thread, anyone with a Cigarette 50 is welcome to come and race in our two new events in 2015.

Honestly, I suspect everything for these promotional videos (helo, videographer, director, etc) is lined up pretty far in advance. If so, water conditions are mostly up to mother nature at that point.
Regardless, even in that last video they aren't pushing the boat that hard, the props aren't even coming out of the water (which I'm sure takes some decent water or speed to do in a true 50).

Plus, these are customers bought and paid for boats. I don't think anyone would appreciate the factory going out and beating te crap out of your brand new boat....unless you were in it for the ride at the very least.
