I kept my Donzi at the store safe storage on US41 in gibsonton for a few months and it was $90
Per month..... Outdoor secure yard with coded gate access. They have some covered spots as well but not sure of price. There is a huge boat launch about 2 miles south on the Alifia River and I would think this is one of the closest spots to Lakeland with access to Tampa Bay.....

First, welcome to the area! It's a great place to live. I concur with the others. Move as close to Tampa as possible and commute east in the morning (towards Lakeland) and west in the evening (towards home). I lived close to Lakeland in Valrico for a few years. I hated just taking my Triton 21Tr on I-4 towards Lake Tarpon to go bass fishing on the weekends. Too many drivers ready and willing to "cut in front of the guy with the boat." Couldn't imagine doing it with the Donzi.
I think no matter if you're going to put in in Tampa Bay or head to the Gulf, you're best off moving closer to the Tampa area. Better for the boating, and a better commute.
Again, though, welcome to the area!

I used to live near Indian Rocks Beach. There are several storage places out that way - dry rack, etc. I trailered and stored my 292 Fastech at a Storage Bank. $70 bucks a month and 10 minutes from the IRB Causway Ramp. Gated, secure entry, 24 hour video and onsite security... I had to spend a few days looking for the right place, but it was well worth it on the pocket book on the long run!!!

There is a good spot on 66th street for $175 a month for a 40' covered spot with power and water included.
I am just over worried about other being around my boat in the open.

In Tampa use the Gandy Boat ramp. Will fit your boat and there is Hula bay and The get away all close by for lunch. Could also go out and around and into the hills river to ricks on the water in downtown Tampa.
