It is really a shame. The local race organizers were contacted by those with previous
offshore race experience, offering help; they were not interested. You all saw what
happened....racers had trouble getting to the pits....hotels miles and miles away....the
parade was a fiasco (just ask the local sponsors)....wet pits a logistical nightmare....and
once the boats were in the water, no place to put them.
