Default Despite Weather, SBI Key Worlds Sunday Schedule On Track

Despite a significant change in the weather, it's a "go" for final offshore races of the 2014 SBI season.

"We are running the same distance as Friday, and still running four races," said an SBI source.

SERIOUSLY ??? Another drag race with a shortened course .....?

These are suppose to be offshore boats right ?

More than 1/2 of the course is run in mostly protected waters...

What has become of this once great challenge event considered the World Championships ?

It's gone from running over 100 miles along the two coasts of Key West to simply just about running mostly in the harbor and going out about a 1 mile offshore with a prediction of 3 to 5 footers the final races have been scaled back to the minimum distance they were running on Friday.....

What a shame !

So where the rough water racers could exceed and show off their talent, the miles have just been pulled out from underneath them.

That's a long way to go for so little racing in my opinion . If it is an issue with the smaller boats, then fine, but the guys running 36 to 50 foot boats should be allowed to go the distance originally scheduled. This isn't Formula 1 tunnel boat racing.....

Yeah I was just wondering if they were going to run a decent course or 37.5 yards like last year.

I am sure the starts will be really interesting today ! If you get a bad start there is not much time to left to make a pass.

Perhaps it is just to try to get the big class to finish with more than 50% of the boats still running ?

You raced in rougher water in that tiny boat and I did it in a 21' Superboat. Ridiculous.
