Mike,
Best solution... buy a longer boat!! And stay out of the sand!!
Sorry couldnt resist!! I know what you mean about the beach at GH! Some spots it is very deep at the transom and some it is not. I would look at opening up the upper water pick up. I am sure it can be done with some creative body work..

Question for Eric
I am switching to a offshore transom mount water pickup to stop sucking sand
i am only using the sea strainer in conjunction with the offshore pickup to stop leaves, plastic and debris
If I use my Bravo low water pickup for the drive shower won't I just be packing those lines with sand?
Where I live on the gulf Of mexico ALL the inland waters and docks are shallow and sand, if i tilt my drive to go in shallow it makes it worse as it posistions the water pickup paralel with the bottom
????? so i was thinking a transom mount offshore pickup would help i have a new engine coming and don't want to stuff it with sand

Hey Mike I also have been fortunate enough to fill my stats with sand. I never had that problem with my older style drives. Once is enough I will pick my parking spots wiser. Good to see and talk to you at LOTO and and G.H. sunday. See you at Hardy Dwight

Sorry I couldn't hook up with you after your phone call about the sand issue. Had to take Marine Tap Room burgers to Mom and Dad's for dinner. Dad was buying. Just couldn't turn down a deal like that.

No sweat Dave. Didn't really feel like hauling it back up to Muskegon after taking it out of the water anyway. I'll be tearing the intake off tomorrow. Gonna need a timing light when I put it backtogether.....you got one right???
