I'm sorry but I'm more impressed with what they did back in the day with modifying off the shelf parts then what they can build today. That motor is a total one off (maybe they built a couple) and you wont be picking up parts at the local GM dealer. I mean it's nice but probably cost more then my house.
We're at the limits of what can be achieved with standard bore spacing, cam height, cam diameter, valve angles and port positions. Engines like this are the logical evolution. The BBC was first released in 1965 as a 396. It would have been designed in the early 60s and maybe even late 50s. I'm confident that we've learned some things since then.
