Cool putting mufflers on my 454 mags

I was thinking of putting in-line type mufflers on my Mercruiser 454 mags. The boat right now has thru hull exhaust only and a bit loud to the liking of some passengers and the noise police, although I have not been stopped yet.
I'm looking for some ideas as to what manufacturer, model and where to buy ,I've had good relations with Teague in the past but am open to all suppliers... that would be the best application for my Baja Sport 280. I am also seeking other suggestions as to how and make my boat a bit quieter without sacrificing power . I know there is a lot of products out there and may entertain other options such as bolting them to transom but would rather keep them under the hood.
I am also open to buying used mufflers in excellent condition if the price is right !

Who make the best in line mufflers for my application ?

Finally has anyone ever seen the pop up ad here for what I believe is an octane boost ???? haven't seen it in a while ,does anyone know what I'm talking about ???

Cant wait until summer boating season winter sucks

I would recommend the Gibson "Bullet" or "Power Tip" mufflers. Both options are easily rated for your power and will drastically quiet down your application. We tend to go with the "Bullets" here because they are extremely proven, quiet and a very simple design. Power tips are $338.00pr and Bullets are $565.00pr. http://teaguecustommarine.com/em0011...rformance.html. Feel free to give us or myself a call anytime and we can go over the options and fit you into exactly what you and the boat are looking for! -Eric

took a look, not sure exactly the difference between the 2 besides price going to look harder unless someone can explain
If I were to use the ones Teague is recommending, how are they installed ? I gotta take out thru hull assembly and put these on ? or do they slide on to what is there and just have to remove flapper ???
Does Teague have in line like the ones GGB makes and sells ?
Does anyone have any comment on their inline sport models ??

I have Gibson's and they work great. Still have a muffled rumble but not obnoxious and within legal limits.

Mufflers are nice to have especially with noise restrictions on lakes. With big tube dry stellings without drew marine mufflers 10 minutes of boating would give me a headache.

+1 on the Gibson mufflers. We have them on our Checkmate, still has the rumble but my wife and I can still talk to each other at 45mph.

I've got the GGB inlines and love them. Dropped the sound level but still a nice low rumble. Get comments on how good it sounds all the time.
