Sunday Cruise Down The Hudson To SBI Race
I just spoke to Hot Boat and we were thinking of doing a run to the races this Sunday. Anyone interested? Sonic99, 26Sonic, Tantrum, Chris232, anyone else from Albany, Poughkeepsie etc? I think it will be a blast. Leave from like Gullies or something, run to Chelsea Piers, have lunch and watch the race, cruise south around the city, up the East and Harlem Rivers and back up to Gullies. We did it last year and it was fun. So who is in?

Count me in! If I staighten out my flooding problem I will deffinately be there.
BodyShot, I think they close it down just past the GWB. So if we hang on the South end we will not be stuck till the race is over.

Marty,
If it is the same as last year, we got there with plenty of time and hung out at Chelsea Piers. Ken that sounds great. I hope alot more people reply soon!
One of the members of my fire department is an attorney with the coast guard and is in charge of some division in NYC. I am not sure if he os on or off this weekend. I will call him now for details.

Sounds like a great idea..unfortunately Im going to be in Billings Montana on business. I would much preffer to be on the river.
I bet Im the only board member to go to such a place for business. Last year I was stuck until the 16 after 9/11.
Have a great time sorry sorry to miss it.

I'm in..... IF
I can get my cutting out problem straightened out,,, either that or I will have to fill up before and during..
I was thinking of volunteering to be a patrol boat, as I did last year, so I can get onto the race course.
The river will be closed from the GWB to liberty landing marina, no traffic except for commercial flying an offical flag after restistering with the coast guard, from 12 until the race is over.
So don't expect to go north or south throuh the course between those hours..
See you guys on sunday...
