It`s been 2 years of dialing it in, she keeps getting better every year but I haven`t gotten to the point where everything is in place to get that final number . Last year I finally got to the rpm I want (6000) but ran out of fuel pressure.
So far 84mph on the river I did see 87mph last year with some good chop on recall but haven`t been able to recreated it .
Shes an old school heavy beast if I get her to be an everyday mid 80`s boat with the low compression, low boost, safe set up I`ll be happy.

Its nice putting engines in a boat already knowing:
There are no leaks.. IE: oil/vacuum/fuel
They are broken in
They make good/as expected power
They are tuned

Make an appointment somewhere NOW! LOL... Like someone here said, you have decent money in those engines at this point. Dyno cost is peanuts in comparison.

I think you may be breaking balls with that post ^^^^^^^^, but to me, putting your engines on the dyno is a no brainer. Whatever your guy charges, its money WELL spent. Even if just to catch an oil leak before engines are installed in the boat, say an oil pan gasket leak......its priceless not to take an engine back out for a stinkin oil leak! Not to mention all the test data you gain about your engines.
