Default 21' Daytona Eliminator 540 BBC

Needing some advice:
I currently have a 505 BBC in a jet boat and the motor makes around 600 HP. I want to take the motor out and over the winter build a 540 11:1 motor. Should make around 750 Horse power and probably more depending on what heads I go with(currently looking at AFR 345cc). My concern is what out drive would handle that much power and should I even go with a 540 or just go through the 505 and go with that? Also, i've hear that a 21' Daytona Eliminator will run 100 mph with 500 Horse power; not sure if that is true but if it is, what would 750+ do? Throw in prices too, that will help me a bunch. To take the motor to a 540 will cost around 5k and maybe a little more.

You will get into some glass work if you switch from jet. Why not keep it jet and make the pump efficient as possible and never worry about breaking it?

Am I reading this correctly that you want to take out the jet pump and install an outdrive? The fiberglass work on filling the floor would be alot of work.
Adam Winslett runs low 140's with somewhere close to 1000 horse with a outdrive. There are a number of 21' jets that run around 100+ with around 900 horse.

edit: JRider beat me to it.

I think he's taking the motor out of a jet boat to put in an eliminator.

I had a19 Daytona with a1000 hp motor and a fully blueprinted pump that ran 100mph.
A 21 Daytona ,in my opinion,would need 1200 hp to run 100mph.

Yes i'm looking to take the engine out of my jet boat and try and find an Eliminator with an outdrive to put it in. My concern is the cost of the outdrive that can handle that type of horse power. I know it would be much faster than the same boat with a jet.

Bang for buck a Bmax drive would work for ya. In a 21' boat you wont be loading the drive like bigger boats so an XR might even work. I have a friend running a 22 talon with 900hp and a max machine drive, no issues yet
