I once thought my boat picked up 10mph from some mods..got real exited!! Turns out on the river with metal bridges you lose GPS signal and when it bounces back I got all kind of false readings from 90mph to 200mph plus. So just cause it`s on GPS doesn`t mean it`s true.

case in point:

Finally some guys admiting what I've seen! Hey I'm new to this performance boat thing on my second boat and I've seen some obviously blazing fast boats however I've seen more supposedly fast boats in some very competitive situations not live up to the hype....... Thanks for being the voice of honesty!

My boat does an honest 80 but once there's a couple people in the back seat it messes everything up, the bow doesn't carry as well, the hull stays wetter and I scrub 10-15 mph.

Honestly....

But seriously I've always noticed no matter what boat i own its always 3-5 mph slower than everyone else with the same no matter what.

The only performance that I see possibly lacking of all your boats is that Warlock. My statement is not a sound one because I have no seat time nor real performance report of those boats. Only Warlock near me is one that has been covered since I was a late teen and I'm pretty damn old now.

Wow this is a rough crowd. My original post was put up as an informative thread as I powered my boat with a new Whippled merc 525 efi with an Imco SCX4 gear case rather than a merc 700sc NXT package. The power pakage ws less money more dependable, and yes faster.I am now posting my progress wih said packadge as far as performance gains.Yes this latest run was in cooler weather, but not stripped down by any means. Approx 50 gal fuel full cabin cushions pota potty coast guard package etc etc.I am looking for possibly more speed with some fine tuning. All of this is is strictly informative,so take it for what its worth.I am not trying to sell or promote anything, just stating facts.Believe it or not !

I saw 80 in the warlock, it has the least prop slip I've ever seen in a boat, pulls right to 5800-6000 rpm, and was Dynod to 606hp @ 6000 rpm. Maybe a 24 hydro might pick up a couple mph but not seeing a lot.

I really don't get this. I ran 68 mph all day in freshwater on 425HP, 69 in salt, with 3/4 tank of fuel and all kinds of crap on the boat. The only difference between your boat and mine is I run 1.5 drives and the X dimension on my boat is pretty darn high. I would have expected your boat to run high 70's with your power.

Is the Warlock running an identical motor to the Cafe? If so you are running very different top RPM's. Where did you make the most power on the dyno?I've run with you guys, you certainly aren't scared to run it hard. I wonder if you are leaving a lot on the table with your prop choices.
