Speedy recovery! Glad to hear it went well. You'll be back on the water in no time.

I had the same thing myself. Your story of walking to the mailbox brought back some memories. I felt the same way after walking that far but it sure felt good. It is amazing how much pain you are in before surgery and how it is gone after. Whatever you do stick to the program they give you. Walk ALOT and stretch every day. Do this like your life depends on it because it does. The more you move the better. Years ago they would have you on your back for months. Now they say get up and move. Good luck and stay active.

I second that advise! Just had my one year anniversary on my L3, L4,L5, S1 fusion. Played two hours of racquetball last night. Hang in there the slow recovery will pay off.

Great news! Get well soon.

Did you get your engine out of the boat for a winter project?

Chris, glad to hear all went well. I agree with others above.....pay attention to your recovery...these first weeks will be very crucial time and then you'll be 100% for next summer! (ps-prayers will continue!) Hope to see you guys over the colder months. Patti and Mark

I can relate to the sleeping part. After my knee replacement I'd go for a short walk and sleep all afternoon. I wish you the shortest possible recovery. I hope you're drinking prune juice with those percodan.

Thanx for the nice responses guys. I actually walked a half mile today. Not bad for 10 days out of a lumbar fusion. I intend on being one of the good statistics. This place has provided me with alot of time to occupy my thoughts while this thing played out. See you soon.
