Not sure what Phil is looking for on this or if the non cabin is an issue:

There are a few Outerlimits with 1075's that may have enough wiggle room to pull the old motors sell them and drop in a pair of 1100/1350s

Problem with that boat is its the old style cockpit so after converting to turbos you'd be a$$ backwards in an older boat.

This is the best deal out there for the size/paint/hours. Even paying for a refresh during ownership wouldn't kill you resale wise.

and the 46 is out of production now......old hull, old cockpit and expensive repower. That boat was cheaper when the NH owner was trying to sell it also.

To further contribute to anyone shopping for a 400k used boat (which any used boat will additionally require 10s of thousands put back into it)
Building a new boat for close to the total invested in a used boat might be an option worth looking into, again not for everyone, but hey that's what these threads are all about. Helping others shop for their next boat that isn't just listed here in the classifieds.

Black Thunder was in the process of updated two of their boat models and they currently have a 43 stag flat deck and a 46 hull ready to finish. Unfortunately things did not go as planned with their investor during the "recession" in this industry. BUT its an option someone might want to explore
43 Flat Decks are NOT slow boats, here's a 43 that wins its class year after year and can easily break 150mph....

I personally like the 45 Maximus listed above! Who needs a cabin when they can probably also afford a Hotel and a nice Cruiser!

Converting any boat to a "new"style (1350)turbo boat is going to be expensive unless you know of a used set of engines that are "cheap". The price of the engines/trannys/drives new is ridiculous. Considering hes not going to keep it yet 2 to 3 years, prolly be best finding one with them already installed.
