last year there was 1 Formula 353 I think wasn't there? Or was it the year before? I remember it well cause I was on it 1/2 the day trying to convince my admiral to give me the thumbs up.

I went yesterday first time in several years...geico boat was there...no performance boats at all. Plenty of center consoles...some very nice ones. Very good use of space these days. And good god the evinrude motors Re very very ugly

yup, went yesterday. Not a single performance boat. Show was good tho but nothing new & earth shattering this year. Now everyone is building a big bowrider with a small cabin. I like that. Some sweet center consoles too. The thing I like about the big bowriders now is some of them look very sleek and outfitted with twin big blocks, they perform pretty well. For instance the Monterey 338SS. Very sharp boat. I spent a bit of time on the Formula 370SS, FX4. That's one hell of a nice boat. Decent speed with all the amenities. Too bad the price tag is on par with my mortgage!!

High cost of the show vs. low return.
The sq. foot cost to show there is ridiculous and then there are additional costs for the electric, set up, logistics to get in and out, etc.
That is also why you see very few small vendors there and the ones you do see are crap "As seen on TV" things that have signed up to do all the boat shows.
