Build a 650-700 hp engine. N/A or blower?

At that power level a blower motor is cheaper to build. Stock 502 mag with a procharger m1 will make over 700 hp and you can hold it there for an hour at a time(or a tank at a time).

I think it depends on what the engine is going into and what if any the future plans might be... in a big heavy hull -- big ci, in a smaller light hull ---blower
yes forget about the bravo factor as that should not be on the back of 700 hp anyway...
if you were starting from scratch buying all new NA will be cheaper...
if you are starting with a donor engine and buy used then easier/cheaper to piece together the 502 w blower
realizing that if in the future you want to go to 900 hp you will need to start over from the 502...where as the big NA can be added to...
my thoughts....

I said 502 mag because of the cam. I saw ateco selling iron head long blocks pretty cheap. A proven combo is a stock 502 mag long block, Holley efi with a cheap m1 procharger will make over 700hp all day long and last for many hours.
na build can be done with the same block but in reality needs 540 cubic inch so right there is efi money on the above setup, plus good heads there is procharger money on the above setup, plus fancy valve train and cam stuff$$$$.
Plus what one last the longest at high rpm before maintenance? I'm sure an na motor making that power has a 150-200 hour valve train mait schedule.

I prefer NA/ Injected to rigs with windmills.
My Ilmor 710 puts out lots of beans and its been reliable as hell.
For my latest build its just so easy to get monster cubes today I went with a 588 W 725 HP.

yes, I sent you the other day dyno sheet for a mild cam 420 with 5 lb procharger, 700+ hp... cost 1/3 of what I spent...
