Yes, after 1 1/2 years of waiting, I'm finally a boat owner! Got the engine reinstalled on Sunday and she ran like a champ. Having some problems with the power steering though. I'm thinking that Imco is wrong and I'm going to need a resevior as it keeps on puking the fluid out. Of course, when wiping up said spilled ps fluid, be sure to shut the engine off! My finger nail is a tad shorter after I stuck it into the alternator fan!
Even with the prop shaft set 1" above the bottom, the boat still planed out with absolutly NO slippage! I could actually go up higher and still plane OK. These extension boxes really do help with the planing. Unfortinatly, it's going to be a while before I can take her out again. I had the guys who made the boat cover come out and replace some snaps. When the guy was drilling out the pop rivits, I think he hit the wiring harness and cut some stuff. I've lost my engine and oil temp gauges and the starter circuit is dead. Nothing like doing a job twice.

Cord awsome to hear!!!!!!
There is some discusion about the resoviors on the Power Steering for under 100 bucks thread. Some guys say they are running with out them fine, other say that they need them, so go figure. Just make sure the system is TOTALLY bread out first. That is a total bummer about the wire harness but hey at leaste you got to take a quick spin!!!!!

Wish I could post some shots of the deck, but I can't get OSO to accept the proportions. Sorry, I don't have any real current engine or on water shots...
