Hey Vtoy,since we have the same pic,soon to be changed,ill tell. its a 81 ,i bought it from mike bowe,who bought it from chip watkins who got it from fla from what i hear. the motors are on the transom and probally to low,some day ill play with it,maybe a 2 ft bracket. if you want to see it ,go to the superboat forum,superboat gathering,one of the last pages and its there,i have a yellow shirt on . if you know any body looking for one my friend has one ,a 82,nice with 2 96 225 mercs,i think is a great deal,looks like the boat in the pic,for 20 k.there was one in md with #2 speedys,no motas for 20 also. hey go check out the charlie tesarso skater run on this page,its gonna be hot**** bring your boat,im goin

Not the same as a Stepp Velocity at all, back in the late 80's. Regal started building those boats as if Mom and Pop were taking the kids out, NOT the hard offshore boat Steve Stepp was known for.
They took all the manufacturing shortcuts, I.E. raw wood upholstery, poor lamination, sub-standard fittings, and very generic rigging. The only good thing was the hull mold was the same.
You would have to completely rebuild it from top to bottom in order to have any real offshore capability. Remember the difference between price and cost !!! Cheap price, cost alot.
Your better off buying a more current model with all the better equipment at a good discount and save yourself alot.
