The Tuff 28 does exactly what it was designed to do and does it well. Your comment could apply to a lot of boats at the shootout and misses the point.

Correct, the Tuff is good at going fast and 117 is very impressive for the hp. I was merely commenting that the 29 Lavey running over 100 is more impressive to me as its a multi-use boat, great for families, huge freeboard, and a beast in rough water. Yes most of the boats in the shootout are only good for going fast and they're very good at it.

More pics of the Progression - Was that the 27 for sale during some point this year ? There was a 27 for sale.
The Tuff 28 was impressive and reminds me how an Allison boat runs that very last 6 to 12 inches of bottom touching the water.
Like I said I have vested interest hugely watching these single V 's run especially the shootout. I am huge planner and hugely preparing for next year already. Come hell or high water we are running a brand new boat in it, but really never could be that fast unless we change a lot of things. Just an average joe with an average pay check who can hang but not at 117 mph.

The Progression will handle the rough better than most in its size too. Not sure about the Tuff, deadrise/entry look shallow to me but I'm a coastal type so rough water running is always the top factor for me.

Not the one that was for sale, the tuff is a very shallow deadrise good for calm lakes, progression has 24 degree deadrise

Nordic has 21 ski boat with a 1350, They wanted to run it, but 22' is smallest boat allowed to run. They said They are going to stretch the mold to 22' and throw a 1350 in for next year.
