so you mean to tell me a small row boat made of thin tin can aluminum hitting a wave and a heavy wooden row boat hitting the same wave would result in the same impact felt by the riders? I disagree. The heavier boat will displace the water better than a light weight boat. F = ma

Does hull design play a part. No doubt. is it the only thing that influences the ride. No.

Said hi to Myrick Friday night as he was tooling out of Red Head in that bad boy. Awesome boat.

Weight absolutely matters.

A Cigarette is built for the ruff ocean water so in that case heavier is better

Things that have a big mass are harder to move and harder to stop than objects with just a little bit of mass.

A Cig is not a resin bucket. An Apache is a resin bucket.

That Cig is a heavy boat for 41 feet! My Sunseeker 48 LOA is 19,000 dry with triple 502MAGs and full pimp cabin. With a full tank of gas brings it to 21,379 and it's 7 feet longer, a third engine, generator.....!

You have to remember if the Cig is built anything like a Hydra-Sports, Regulator or Contender CC's are, it is a boat within a boat. Full Fiberglass inner liner make all CC's heavy . No fur on the headliners to lighten them up LOL!

Center Console boats in the traditional sense are made to work (ie Diving, Fishing, Cruising) more than they are just to go fast and be trailer queens
