Boats vary....My last boat had a XR on an ITS box with a pretty high drive height. If I was throwing a rooster it was because I was trimmed to high.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an Arneson drive. There was a 26 with small blocks and Arnesons I was interested in years ago. It popped up for sale IIRC in the last 12 months.
